Manchester Ship Canal with friends

A great trip was had by all via Mersey Ferries on the Manchester Ship Canal, where you sail (Snowdrop) from Salford Quays to Liverpool – really interesting and great commentary as to the history and sights. The boat, Snowdrop, is a beautiful old thing, very pleasant with indoor/outdoor areas for great views and two cafe/bars on board. I would certainly recommend it!

It’s a great trip isn’t it. Did it a couple of years ago. The industrial decay around the locks is both fascinating and quite sad at the same time. You don’t have to go too far from Salford Quays to find the decay!
Quite a lot of herons too, so the water must be good quality.
    A recommended trip.
