A great trip was had by all via Mersey Ferries on the Manchester Ship Canal, where you sail (Snowdrop) from Salford Quays to Liverpool – really interesting and great commentary as to the history and sights. The boat, Snowdrop, is a beautiful old thing, very pleasant with indoor/outdoor areas for great views and two cafe/bars on board. I would certainly recommend it!
