I thought that I would write a note as to fell running and recruitment, which probably seems at odds. What is fell running you ask, and I suppose most know as to recruitment. With fell running it is about running in the hills or the fells of the Lake District and losing yourself as well as the challenge. With recruitment, that is the more tricky one with people having various views – simply it should be about doing what is right for the people involved, and I sincerely believe that. And sometimes advice can be very honest. The fell running? It gives me break from the emotion of recruitment, and it focuses me on realising that you should do what is right and accept that life is not smooth, like fell running. The ground changes.. So do people. My attitude? If I can do good or right (depending on what you deem to be right or good) when working in the business I work in, which is getting people jobs and clients good people, then that is a good thing, even if the instances are few. Point is it is all like fell running, you just keep trying not matter what. There are lots of good people out there worth the effort
